Anonymous said → {✞}__"Farlight" Raven said bounding around her in dog form when she came home. "Farlight Farlight Farlight. I have a most excellent Idea"

Lan Fan looked down at Raven for a few moments, before chuckling quietly and kneeling in front of him. “And what exactly is this excellent idea of yours?” She asked.

Lan Fan woke from a troubled sleep with a cry, jerking bolt upright and looking around with a terrified gaze. Upon realizing that she was alone, aside from her current cell-mate, she shivered and wrapped her arms around her legs.

Her stomach growled quite loudly, but she forced herself to ignore it, as she had been doing for the past couple of weeks. Of course, it was starting to wear on her, and that was beginning to show.

The starvation, coupled with the experiments that she and the other woman were put through, put the two of them in quite a sorry state. It had gotten to the point where the scientists had started to drag her around if they needed to do an experiment, as she was too weak to stand for a long time.

She knew that they needed to escape, but in their current conditions, there was no way they would be able to run that far, let alone fight if they needed to.

If they were going to escape at all, it would take quite a bit of time.

Glancing over at the other woman to see if she had been woken by Lan Fan’s cry, the warrior closed her eyes again, hoping to get a few more precious moments of sleep before they were interrupted again.

Riza murmured, “As long as we can get to the edge of the property, I think we will have a shoot at our freedom. Do you think you can make it?” She carefully slid her hand out of the cell and opened the door. Riza slowly crept along the hall making as little noise as possible. She was not going to let them continue to experiment on her, she would die first. But she would take as many of these bastards as possible with her. She figured that they had half an hour to forty-five minutes before the guards would be aware of their escape.

The female gritted her teeth, before forcing herself to follow after the other woman. “I… I have to at least try… I have no choice…” The warrior commented, though her legs were clearly shaking. They had a limited time frame before it was discovered that they were gone… So they needed to cover as much distance as possible.

Of course, she would likely need a break, but not for a while. She had to force herself to keep moving.

Lan Fan sighed quietly and shifted slightly, before glancing over at Raven again. She gave him a small smile, and cuddled against him. “Morning… Did you sleep well?” She mumbled, her attention focused on him, though the rest of her senses were already alert and ready for whatever might happen.

{{✞}}—”How? How will you indeed do that? How will you repay me? I am dying to know”

"I never said anything about repaying you. Only that I need to find some way to show you how much I love you. How I can do that, I do not know… But I will figure it out eventually."

{✞}—Music played from nowhere. He took her by the hand and started to waltz. One foot after the other they danced all over the room.

Trusting him to lead her properly, Lan Fan closed her eyes and sighed quietly. She focused on his movements, moving with him as well. Thankfully, she could easily feel his movements, and the dancing seemed to come naturally to her now.

{✞}—”You have not lost your skill at all my dearest Farlight”

"This is only because you are leading me. I feel your movements, and I simply mirror them. So, my skill is all because of you… At least in dancing, it is."

{{✞}}—Raven continued to lead. He brung her closer and whispered.

"I love you.

You set my soul on fire.

It is not a spark or a little candle light.

It is a flame. A roaring, roaring flame.

Oh I can feel it now.

It is burning.”

"I love you, too… I only wish that I was eloquent enough to find the words to explain it. But my skill with words is limited, so I’ll need to find some other way to show you that I love you."

Glancing over at the other woman to see if she had been woken by Lan Fan’s cry, the warrior closed her eyes again, hoping to get a few more precious moments of sleep before they were interrupted again.

Riza watched the young woman wake with a start. Her chocolate eyes flashed over to the bars of their cell, hoping that the guard didn’t come back. She had been lucky enough to lift the keys off of a young guard. For the moment she would let the young warrior sleep, the change of guards would happen soon, followed by the last prisoner check of the night, then they could break out and make their escape. Riza closed her eyes but only allowed herself to stay in a light sleep.
Twenty minutes later the guard changed and the guard walked the block, not that there were many prisoners. The two women had been the strongest of the group. Their strength was why they had been experimented on. The guard stopped in front of the cell to leer at the women before moving on.
Riza quietly moved next to the other woman and whispered, “I got the keys. If we are going to get out of here alive, now would be the time to do it.”

When the guards came by once again, Lan Fan woke up, looking up at them blearily. At first, she had greatly protested what they were doing, but she now barely acknowledged them now. She knew that doing so would only spur them on, and she couldn’t bear the humiliation.

After the guards left, and she heard the other woman move next to her, the warrior lifted her head slightly, and nodded weakly. She knew that the blonde was right, and they had to get moving… So she needed to muster her strength to move.

"R-right… I don’t know how far we’ll make it, though…" She whispered. After so many weeks of experimentation, she was no longer as strong as she used to be. Her body was weakened, both from the lack of food, and the lack of training over the time.

But they still had to take that chance.

"Let’s go…" She whispered, getting shakily to her feet.

Lan Fan struggled to sit up, supporting her injured arm and shaking her head. She wasn’t quite sure what had happened, but her head and her arm both hurt… Perhaps she just needed some medical attention. Surely she could get there herself.

"I’m fine… Thanks." She answered, starting to get to her feet, only to stumble and drop to the ground again.

Kathryn’s eyes gazed over the other girl. She carefully took notice of her actions-she herself would have to pay attention to where the girl might be hurting. The way the other gripped her arm-that was an obvious sign. But Kathryn still worried there was more-she had to help her.

"Look, ma’am, can I at least check your injuries? Please?" It was so difficult staying calm, but Kathryn knew this was not a time to freak out. Maybe she’d be able to fix this….

Lan Fan gritted her teeth for a second, trying to hold back a hiss of pain. She wasn’t too keen on accepting the other’s offer, but it didn’t seem that she was going to be able to go far on her own… Really, she didn’t have much choice except to accept the offer.

"…Very well…" She answered, reluctantly settling back on to the ground. She still cradled her injured arm protectively, but she didn’t seem like she would fight the other girl if she continued to examine her injuries.
